Capitalist Cabal

The politicians, state and military bureaucrats, are at the beck-and-call of corporate lobbyists. They are all motivated by the ruling ideology of private profit and class privilege.
This explains why they, and their agents in the science academy, authorize operation of unsafe nuclear reactors. It reveals the reasoning behind decisions to blanket whole regions with poisonous plumes of gases from oil refineries and chemical plants. Profits above all else!
For reasons of material class interest, such as pinching pennies on services for minorities, the capitalist cabal covers up the exposure of children to lead-contaminated drinking water. They encourage harmful fracking and oil sands development, heedless of damage to the ecosystem. They subsidize toxic mining ventures near rivers, and profit from deforestation. They favor mono-culture factory farms, and clear the way for adoption of carcinogenic herbicides by covering up the adverse effects. All of this they do in the name of the corporations and the private profit system.
What, after all, is a farmer's life, cut short by lymphoma, when compared to research funding and the jingle of hard cash? Who cares if a river in Peru runs red with arsenic? Should we really worry that oil sands extraction in Alberta has transformed an area the size of Switzerland into a moonscape? Such questions, you will realize, have no place, and no answers, within the ruling ideology of the capitalist cabal.
The ideological matrix of Capital weighs like lead on our living brains. All must bow down to the rule of the big banks, private ownership of the monopolies, and the squeezing of labor power for profits. Any and all social or environmental problems associated with capitalist rule are deemed irrelevant, just trifling costs of business.
The next quarter in the balance sheet is all that counts; not the next quarter-century, not the next generation, not a future for all. The prime directive is 'Profits at all Costs' and the whole of society must serve the interests of a tiny class of sharpsters, leeches and exploiters.
